I love that we live in the same building as this family! Cohen and his parents are some of the coolest and nicest people we have ever met. Cohen has these amazing eyes that are just captivating. They are grey, green, and blue all at the same time. He’s also one of those babies that will sit and play with a toy- nicely- quietly- happily… for hours. My son Liam hasn’t been still since he was about 20 weeks in utero, no joke.

We had so much fun at Cohen’s first birthday party! He wasn’t too fond of getting cake on his hands, but what a great day of excitement for him.

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of being asked to shoot a bridal session for Jean’s Bridal in Charleston. This was a first for me so I had no idea what to expect. My friend Mikaela and her friend Kristin put everything together. They designed different scenes, Mikaela built and refinished furniture (yep, she’s rad), they both had very specific and creative ideas, and it was really amazing. The models were fantastic, hair and makeup were flawless. It was an honor to be a part of such an inspiring production. Here are the magical results:

Location: Alhambra Hall, Mount Pleasant SC

Set and creative design: Mikaela LePlante and Kristin Knuckles of Jean’s Bridal

Models: Brooke Lewis and Michael Connolly

Hair and Makeup: hair stylist Shayla Battle and makeup artist Mariah Hennet representing Paper Dolls

I was so grateful that family came to visit for Thanksgiving. I was super sick, but Liam definitely needed some distraction and play time with cousins. My brother-in-law Thomas came with his wife, Cheryl, and their two kids Daniela (7) and Joseph (4.) What a big help everyone was the entire week. I felt like the worst host in the universe, but Thanksgiving went off without a hitch thanks to Cheryl! It was the perfect way to spend the holiday.

I discovered this amazing park in North Charleston that became the perfect backdrop for a family holiday photo session. We had the idea of letting the girls decorate a Christmas tree and this wooded park was a gorgeous setting. It was definitely a challenge to get these little balls of energy to stay in one place but we pulled it off! It was a team effort:)

Well, these guys make it look easy, breezy, effortless. It was a pleasure getting to know this family on Isle of Palms last week. We had a blast on the beach and the light was PERFECT. They pretty much posed themselves and I was delighted at their creative input. It can hardly be called a job! What a pleasure to shoot this family.

This woman is just stunning! Amy contacted me to take some portraits so she could try her hand in the modeling world. I say she’s got quite a career ahead of her. I love when client are just… easy. Amy’s easy on the eyes, easy to work with, laughed easily. It makes my work, well, not work. On top of all that, it looks like Amy barely had a stitch of makeup on, not to mention the complete absence of wrinkles… sheesh. We had a blast and I can’t wait to photograph her family some day!

This little man is such a ham! I’m lucky that I get to see him almost every day since we live in the same neighborhood. He happens to be my 2 1/2 year-old’s bro-friend, haha 🙂 Ever since I met Cohen I have been absolutely mesmerized by his gorgeous eyes. I swear they are blue, green, brown, and grey- he’s got the whole world in those eyes. Needless to say, it was not difficult to get some wonderful shots of this cutie pie.

What a stunning mommy! This will be Quinn’s second child and I CANNOT wait for our newborn session. I was so happy with the way these photos turned out. I had a wonderful and beautiful subject to work with and I immediately fell in love with Wannamaker Park in Charleston, SC. All the pine trees took me back to my hometown in upstate New York…

This gallery contains 20 photos.

I can’t complain because I am busy with all the families who want pictures for their holiday cards, but man- I am so behind on my blogging! This wedding was weeks ago… slacker! I really enjoyed this amazing couple. They were laid back, in love, happy, easy going, and having a blast the ENTIRE wedding. …
