light painting and long exposures

My sister, son, and I took a road trip to Orlando this past weekend to surprise our grandmother on her 78th birthday. We were both eager for the trip because of its significance and because we knew how happy it would make her to see her great-grandson. We had a wonderful weekend, even though hurricane Debby brought torrential downpour for 98% of the trip. That’s how you know that you are surrounded by amazing people: rain didn’t dampen ANYTHING- even with a 2-year-old!

Our cousin Ryan was always interested in my levitation work, which can be seen in my Levitation album (click it! you’ll like it!), so I decided to make him fly AND paint him with light. He was so excited and was just brimming with ideas! Sometimes I freeze and forget what I want to shoot, but this kid just kept the ideas coming. We had such a great time. Our trip was amazing and we can’t wait to go back.
